Julio Silva, age 70, of 56 Pleasant Street, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, in Providence, Rhode Island. The son of the late Peter and Candida Silva, Julio was a lifelong resident of the East Side of Providence. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Silva (Bland). Besides his wife he leaves seven children; sons Michael Perry (Tammy), Leon Hollis (Tara), Julio Smith (Courtney) and daughters Chantell Poston, Alicia Page, Yhana Collins (Damany) and Kiara Jordan.
Julio was predeceased by his sons Julian Silva and Joshua Jones, and brothers Pedro and Joseph Silva. He is survived by two brothers Edwin and Myron Silva; and three sisters Jenny Ann Collins, Elizabeth Silva and Christine Silva. Affectionately known as Papa, Julio leaves 40 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
Julio, known for his infectious smile, was loved by his family and could often be seen with one of his many grandchildren, great grands, nieces or nephews. He had a love of cars and passed that passion down to his children, never missing an opportunity to take something apart and fix it. Julio will be forever loved and remembered as the irreplaceable life of the Silva party.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 2pm-5pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln. Burial Private.
